Information We Collect

Strava Data

When you connect your Strava account, we access the following information:

  • Basic activity data (distance, time, elevation, speed)
  • Route information (GPS coordinates, polyline data)
  • Activity metadata (name, date, type)

Account Information

We may store minimal account information necessary for authentication:

  • Strava athlete ID
  • Encrypted access and refresh tokens
  • Connection timestamps

Usage & Analytics Data

To understand how the product is used and to prevent abuse we collect limited analytics data:

  • Session identifiers generated by the app
  • Club selection (e.g. NOT IN PARIS, HEDONISM) associated with downloads
  • Download events (format, timestamp, related club)
  • Unique Strava connection events per day
  • Visit information (page path, date, time)
  • Technical metadata such as IP address and user agent sent by your browser

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • Creating workout visualizations
  • Providing and maintaining the core functionality of our service

Data Storage and Security

Data Processing

Your workout data is processed temporarily to generate visualizations. We do not permanently store your activity routes or detailed GPS data on our servers.

Analytics Storage

Analytics and connection metadata (session IDs, club selections, download/visit logs, IP addresses, user agents) are stored in our managed PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. These records help us produce aggregate statistics and maintain service reliability.

Security Measures

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information:

  • Secure OAuth 2.0 authentication
  • Encrypted access tokens
  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
  • Role-based access to production infrastructure

Data Retention & Deletion

Analytics and connection metadata are retained for as long as needed to provide aggregate reporting and ensure platform security. You can request removal of your analytics records or account information at any time by contacting support@addicted.design. We will delete or anonymize your data unless we are required to retain it for legal or operational reasons.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your stored data
  • Revoke access to your Strava account at any time
  • Request deletion of your account information
  • Opt out of data collection by disconnecting your account

To revoke access, go to your Strava account settings and remove addicted from your connected applications.
